Debut

Below is a poem I wrote the debut night of our band. It was about 45min until our Worship Night at church 11/20/05 and I was in prayer (1st time playing and kinda nervous too). After I got done praying, God gave me this poem. More like a prayer on paper...an oath if you will. I like to read it before each time our band plays. No matter how many people do or don't show up. No matter how many people do or don't clap, or look like they are getting into the music. It helps me remember that it is all for HIM and no one else - not even me. To God be the glory.

Tonight we come together to worship You
Letting go of what we hold on to
Giving You glory with every song
Our untamed burden
Your unfailing love
Let every breath we breathe
Every string we strum
Every drum we beat
Every word we speak
Be lifted up to You
Our Righteous One

Out-Pouring to God

God,
You are awesome. You are lovely and wonderful.

I love You Lord,
I bow my life before You. You are mighty God. Your love is everlasting.

I love You Father,
You change my heart and give me a fresh start every morning.

God, You are everything.

Father, You are my God
I want people to see You through me. I desire to be better; to be more like You.

Lord,
Fill me with Your Spirit. How I long to be filled. I yearn for Your love to overflow from my heart. You are the one and only God.

Father,
I cry out for Your direction and guidance in my life.


I love You Father,
and I cry out for strength to tell other about Your beautiful love.

Love me Father,
In all my doubt. When I feel so weak yet act so strong. Love me enough to let me crawl into Your arms. Love me when pride and self get in the way. Love me when I feel left out and alone. Love me for who I am, and who I'm not, and who I am to be.

Thank You Lord,
For all the blessings You give...my husband; the man you designed just for me. He loves me unconditionally, and shows me everyday what love truly is. Thank you for my caring friends and loving family, who pray for me in ways I may not know.

Father, thank You for my calling, though it is not easy to bear. I know I am not worthy, but You see in me what I do not see. I know I need to stop trying so hard, and let You lead. Only You can make a difference in me.

Father,
Give me strength. I ask for courage and wisdom to be the woman You have designed me to be.

God,
Fill my heart with compassion, generosity, and love for You and those around me, and for Your church and Your ministries.

I love You, my God, my Father, my Lord.

I will

I am a child of the LIVING GOD
I have to put everything in God's hands
I will dare to believe for greater things
I have the favor of the Almighty God
I must "perceive it."
I will receive what my faith will allow
I will worship freely
I will be taken over by the Spirit
I will live with no regrets
I am a servant
I will allow God to do things in my life that only He can do
I am moldable and available to be used
